Appalachian Ski Mtn. is set to take full advantage of the incoming arctic air with a comprehensive snowmaking plan to offer peak season conditions and great coverage, all with our guestsβ comfort and experience in mind.
Snowmaking is scheduled to begin around Midnight on Wednesday, Dec 14. Appaljack, Appal Jam, The Highline & Candied Appal will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 15 for intense focused snowmaking. Limited snowmaking operations will be ongoing Thursday and Thursday night on open slopes.
The Highline, Appal Jam and Candied Appal will reopen at 11am on Friday to the public and as part of Zeb & Caccs Pop Out Tour stop. Appaljack will remain closed to maximize snowmaking efforts. Snowmaking will be off by 10am Friday through close (Midnight).
Appaljack will reopen Saturday morning and Candied Appal will be opened Saturday as beginner terrain.
Snowmaking operations will be limited to closed terrain only for Saturday & Sunday. No snowmaking will be ongoing on open slopes for the comfort of our guests.
Riders should expect great snow conditions, and no snowmaking on open slopes!
